The Economic Development Research Intern supports all economic development projects through the compilation of accurate demographic and market data. The Research Intern is responsible for conducting and/or assisting with surveys for department publications and reports. Strong skills in communications, economics, and public administration are a plus.
Specific items of responsibility include:
o Custom Report (www.wacocustomreports.com)
o Cost of Living Index
o Major Employers Survey
o Semi-Annual Strategic Plan assessment
o Wage & Fringe Benefits Survey
o Maintain information regarding Greater Waco and Waco MSA demographic information
o Actively seek and analyze demographic information that can be used to showcase Greater Waco as an ideal location for business and talent attraction
Reports to: Vice President, Economic Development
Compensation: This is a paid internship.
Hours: Flexible work hours, avg. 15-20 hours per week. Potentially more during summer.
